Improvements

Due to the feedback that I have received, I chosen to focus mainly on my layout, typography and pictures. Today I have looked at a range of new fonts and have chosen new ones to add into my magazine, I have started on the improvements on my cover by changing my masthead, I have made my masthead look more 3D by putting another masthead behind my other one. I choosen to add another colour to my colour pallette now making my colour palette pink, purple, white and black.

Publishing

I the institution that would publish my magazine would be Prometheus Global Media, I think that my magazine would fit in well at Prometheus Global Media as they also publish Billboard magazine, that is also a pop music magazine and I have also taken lots of inspiration from billboard magazine so this adds to the fact that it would well at Prometheus Global Media. However my magazine is also different to Billboard magazine as it also focuses on fashion and real life and not just music so it would stand out

Pitch Evaluation and Responce to comments

I think my pitch went well and I received some feedback that has helped me develop my ideas for my magazine further. I feel that my magazine was well received and I feel confident with carrying my idea. I received some feedback on my title ideas and someone said that tune would not be a good idea and i have taken this into account and decided to call my magazine Beats.
Colour Palettes: I have decided to use the colour scheme of black, white, pink and purple. I am using these colours as I feel that they were well received in my pitch and they will fit in with the style of my magazine and the colours can also be used to make certain texts stand out.
Cover: I have decided to use the rule of thirds for my cover as this will help draw the audiences eye to certain parts of the cover, on the cover I will be using a female model, and it will be a mid shot,as using this shot I will be able to show the audience the models clothes but without drawing to much attention away from her face.
Cost: I am retailing my magazine at £3.50 as I feel that this is a appropriate price for a monthly music magazine.

Artist Profile

My cover artist is going to be called Melody Roads she is a 23 year old American born singer but she now lives in London. She is from a wealthy background but the public can still relate to her. Her mum is a fashion designer and her dad is also a singer. Lauren has an individual style and music type as she wants to be known for being herself and not just the daughter of a fashion designer or a singer. Melody takes inspiration from artists like Britney Spears, Beyonce and Adele for her music and takes Fashion inspiration from the likes of Rihanna and Lady Gaga, Melody likes the classic look but likes to put her own twist on it.She grew up in New York City with her mum, dad and 3 brothers, she went to a private school but left at 16 to pursue a career in dance and music. Her break came when she was 19 years old after being scouted at a end of year show, she has since gone on to have two bestselling albums and has won 2 Grammy awards.

Typical Reader Profile

My typical reader would be Evie Jones, who is a 19 year old student. Her main interests are fashion, music, going out with friends and keeping up with the latest trends and celebrity gossip. Evie tends to listen to a range of genres of music but mainly chooses to take inspiration from artists like Adele, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Rihanna. Evie like these artists as they are not only influential singers but they also have strong sense of fashion and she likes how they bring together this in there music. Evie also likes them as she can relate to them through there song lyrics and their life experiences. As she is a student she is on a budget but still likes to keep up with fashion trends, so she shops in places like River Island, H&M, Topshop and Forever 21.
